Warehouses are sites where you store inventory. Warehouses are broken down into locations and bins to keep your inventory organized. Common warehouse functions include location/bin management, receiving, inventory adjustment, inventory transfer, scrap, etc.
On the Service Workspace accordion, in the Administration expander, click Warehouses. The workspace displays list of all the available warehouses of the complete Business Organization Hierarchy Structure.
All the sites that are assigned to inventory (Inventory Location check box checked)appear here with their Site ID.
A Site (Warehouse) can have any number of locations (Inventories).
The warehouse sites can be Customer or Internal.
Customer Site refers to the site where the field engineers visit to work.
The ordered parts are shipped to the customer site.
Customer site can also be used as a warehouse.
Not all customer sites are warehouses. Only those sites with Inventory Location check box checked appear in the search criteria.
Internal Site refers to the site where the field engineers report.
