Data Set Definitions

A data set holds the copy of data that a user requests through SQL query. In Reporting System, a data set depends on an existing data source.

A data set specifies a query, query parameters, filters, and a field collection. You can also specify data options, such as case, collation, kanatype, width, and accent, for the data retrieved from the data source.

• General

  Here, you can make all the necessary settings required to define a Data Set Definition.

• Fields

  • Once you make necessary settings in the General tab and click Save, fields are generated in the Fields tab.

  • The Fields tab displays the list of all the fields that the query has produced. You can also have Field Alias for the fields that you want to secure.
