Scrap

Scrap refers to identifying a part as 'unusable'. The scrapped part cannot be transferred to a different location.

Steps:

1. On the Service Workspace accordion, in the Administration expander, click Warehouses.

2. Open appropriate warehouse record.

3. On the Site docked split container, in the Inventory node, click appropriate inventory sub-node from the inventory hierarchy.

4. View the data in Summary View or Detail View.

   Detail View refers to the details that are more specified. The workspace displays the available bins of the location, and the specifications of every part in the bins. The details also include serial numbers for the serialized parts.

   Summary View refers to the details that are more summarized. The workspace displays the available bins of the location, and the quantity of the parts of same kind in every bin.

5. On the ribbon bar, in the Actions group, click Scrap button. Transfer Parts dialog box appears.

6. Select the part that you want to scrap and search for appropriate Scrap Account.

7. Click Search button beside Scrap Account field. Lookup GLAccountsLocBin dialog box appears.

8. The dialog box displays list of all the GL accounts that are assigned for Scrap. Select appropriate bin.

9. Click Save and Close.
