Once a case is created, the case has to be studied in detail to work on it. Based on the research results, the case is divided into appropriate number of work orders and part orders.

Log Research enables you to record the time for which you made a research on the created case.

Steps:

  1. On the ribbon bar, in the Case Logging group, click Research button. Log Research dialog box appears.

  2. Enter appropriate Action Type from the drop down menu.

  3. Enter appropriate time and date from the date pickers in all the fields.

  4. Enter appropriate details in few words in the Research Notes field.

  5. Enter appropriate comments in the Internal Comments field, that are required for internal purpose and are generally not shared with the customer.

  6. Click Save and Close.
