A Work Order enables you to track all the necessary phases of the work in order to resolve customer's issue, from scheduling the technician to the technician's arrival and successful completion of the work. The nature of a work order in general is to schedule, track and record activities related to resolving a customer's service request.
For instance, if a service representative is unable to address or resolve a case, then representative creates a work order for the case and assigns it to a technician who is qualified enough to resolve it.
In GoServicePro, you create Work Order under a Case. A Case is the parent for multiple Work Orders created under it. However, you can link the Work Orders to others that are present within the same Case to appear in parent-child relationship. A parent Work Order displays the information of all its child Work Orders while, every child Work Order displays only its parent information but will not display co-child information. A Case need not contain Work Orders that are in parent-child relation.
